THE FUTURE IS THE QUESTION. THE ANSWERS ARE MADE OF WOOD.
Our mission begins with a question: What is the future if we take responsibility? The answer: It’s made of wood.
We combine wood tradition with engineering and innovative research to develop and mass-produce wood hybrids that replace classic materials while offering potential as a renewable resource for climate-conscious applications.
Our mission statement “Committed to finding answers made of wood” is not a slogan, but a promise: We want to answer the big questions of our time – such as resource scarcity and climate protection – with solutions that are material-efficient, technically mature and future-oriented. We think in cycles and in generations.
Pioneering
since
1831.
The roots of our company date back to 1831. As part of the Weitzer Group, we have almost two centuries of experience with the material wood.
Weitzer Woodsolutions combines the best of both worlds: traditional craftsmanship and modern engineering expertise. Our engineers develop wood hybrids that are robust enough to replace components made of aluminum, steel or plastic – not as solid wood as before, but as lightweight, ultramodern composite solutions.
Wood Vision Lab
Innovation is no accident. This is what our Wood Vision Lab – our independent research and innovation hub – stands for. We deliberately separate production from innovation in order to achieve excellence in both disciplines.
Research
Our research approach combines material and process-related R&D and creates digital twins of component and manufacturing. This enables us to optimize processes, conserve resources and develop products that meet the requirements of tomorrow.
Circular economy
Our Wood Vision Lab is also an experimental field for the circular economy. We are researching which components of wood hybrids can be recycled into the material cycle or otherwise recycled. Or how to design materials to run through as many life cycles as possible and to be recycled or used for energy at the end of their life. Innovation doesn’t end at the end of the production line – it starts all over again.
Scale different:
Scaling ideas into series.
It’s often a long way from idea to product – let’s walk it together. At Weitzer Woodsolutions, we not only build prototypes, but also transfer your developments into series production.
Whether small series with ten pieces or large series with hundreds of thousands of components: Through modern process control, CNC milling and precise pressing techniques, we ensure that each part is reproducible and of high quality and meets the highest industry standards.
Already in the development phase, we keep an eye on costs and develop cost-oriented product loops so that serial products remain predictable. This is how we scale ideas successfully – without compromising on quality or material awareness.
