Privacy Policy

The security and strictly confidential handling of your data is a top priority for the Weitzer Group. We strive to protect your data with high security standards to the best of our ability when you visit our website.

We collect and process your data to provide you with the best service through convenient access to our products, and to process your orders quickly and to your satisfaction. This also allows us to inform you about our new products. The legal basis for the use of data is, in particular, the Data Protection Act (DSG) and the Telecommunications Act (TKG).

What data is stored and processed?

We store the personal data you provide (in particular name, company (or residential) or delivery address, email and phone number, as well as bank details) with your consent, in order to process subsequent orders quickly and efficiently.

By providing your data, you consent to the use and utilization of the personal data you provide for the proper fulfillment of the contract, for advertising purposes where applicable, and for billing purposes. Since you also provide your email address or your company/residential and delivery address in this context, we assume that we may contact you via this communication channel to respond to your inquiry. Please let us know if you no longer wish to be contacted in the future.

Furthermore, all offers and orders placed are stored. In the event of a contract being concluded, all data from the contractual relationship will be stored until the expiry of the tax-law retention period (7 years).

The data name, address, goods purchased, and purchase date will also be stored until the expiry of product liability (10 years). Data processing is based on the legal provisions of Section 96(3) TKG as well as Article 6(1)(a) (consent) and/or (b) (necessary for contract fulfillment) of the GDPR.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that allow this website to store specific, user-related information on the visitor’s computer while this website is being visited. Cookies help determine the frequency of use and the number of users on this website. This involves both session cookies, which are temporarily stored only for the duration of website use, and permanent cookies, used to record information about visitors who access the website repeatedly. The content of a permanent cookie is limited to an identification number. Name, IP address, etc. are not stored. You can disable the storage of cookies in your browser, restrict them to certain websites, or set your web browser (Chrome, IE, Firefox, etc.) to notify you whenever a cookie is sent. You can also delete cookies from your PC’s hard drive at any time. Please note, however, that in this case you should expect a restricted display of the page and limited user navigation.

Web analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc, (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google&”). Use includes the “Universal Analytics” operating mode. This makes it possible to assign data, sessions, and interactions across multiple devices to a pseudonymous user ID, thereby analyzing a user’s activities across devices.

Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will first be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide further services related to website usage and internet usage to the website operator. This also constitutes our legitimate interest in the data processing.

The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Section 15(3) TMG and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data we send that is linked with cookies, user identifiers (e.g. user ID), or advertising IDs is automatically deleted after 14 months. Deletion of data whose retention period has been reached occurs automatically once a month. Further information on terms of use and data protection can be found at https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and https://policies.google.com/?hl=de.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly. However, we point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) from being sent to Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser add-on. Opt-out cookies prevent the future collection of your data when visiting this website. To prevent collection by Universal Analytics across different devices, you must perform the opt-out on all systems used. Clicking here will set the opt-out cookie: Disable Google Analytics.

reCAPTCHA

To protect your inquiries submitted via web form, we use the reCAPTCHA service provided by Google Inc. (Google). This query serves to distinguish whether the input is made by a human or is being misused through automated, machine processing. The query includes the transmission of the IP address and, where applicable, other data required by Google for the reCAPTCHA service. For this purpose, your input is transmitted to Google and used further there. However, your IP address will first be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of this service. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of reCAPTCHA will not be merged with other Google data. Google’s separate privacy policy applies to this data. Further information on Google’s privacy policy can be found at: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/

Deletion of personal data

We only store personal data for as long as required for the purpose of use or as we are legally obligated to retain it. Afterwards, we will delete or anonymize the data.

Data security

We have taken extensive technical and organizational protective measures to safeguard your data. Our security procedures are regularly reviewed and adapted to technological progress.

You generally have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, revocation, and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have otherwise been infringed in some way, you can file a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority.
